Writing the Perfect Song Lyrics

Regardless of talent level, experience or musical tastes, most musicians have similar long term goals. They tend to have the same dreams: standing on a stage in front of thousands of people chanting their names, soloing for two hours. This is a pretty typical dream. But to get there you will need that special song.

Writing lyrics can be difficult. The successful songwriter is usually the one who writes about things that are close to his or her heart. Those things that you feel deeply about are generally the easiest to express in words. For example, when you hear that catchy song about someone having their heart ripped out, in most cases, it's a true story. Most songwriters have a story to tell about every song.

Why Rhyme

Lyrics that rhyme are the most memorable, and the easiest to fit in a music vehicle nicely. But, take care!! Rhyming too much sounds STUPID, and keep in mind that rhyme should come second to meaning...Never sacrifice the idea for the sake of a rhyming word and never put stuff together just because they rhyme.

Lyrics with meaning will stay in a listener's head for a very long time. We all have the special song that reminds us of another person, an event or a moment. Lyrics are as important as the melody of a song. don't just scribble something on paper and expect it to me a million seller. Give thought to the lyrics. Try to touch someone's heart.
